Subject: LBYH - New Tournament Opportunity for Fall 2024
Dear Lexington Bedford Youth Hockey Families,
I hope this message finds you all well and excited for the upcoming hockey season. As many of you know, our program has traditionally participated in the fall tournament at Lake Placid. This year, however, we have encountered a change. The tournament organizers at Can/Am hockey have decided not to accept our teams for various reasons. While this is undoubtedly disappointing given our longstanding participation, it also opens the door to new opportunities and experiences for our teams.
With this in mind, I am thrilled to announce that our program has been accepted into the prestigious Green Mountain Avalanche Tournament series at Jay Peak, Vermont. This tournament promises competitive play in a fantastic setting, and it’s a wonderful chance for our players to showcase their skills against some of the best teams in the region.
Here are the details:
- For our Bantam 1, Peewee 1, and Squirt 1 teams: The tournament will take place October 31 – November 3 (note – no games will be played on Thursday 10/31).
- For our Bantam 2, Peewee 2, Peewee 3, Squirt 2, and Squirt 3 teams: The tournament is scheduled for December 5-8.
We believe these tournaments will not only provide a high level of competition but also a memorable experience for our players and their families. More detailed information regarding registration, travel arrangements, and accommodations at the Jay Peak Resort will follow shortly. We encourage all families to begin planning accordingly, as we anticipate a great turnout.
