LBYH Finishes Successful Travel and Girls Season

LBYH Finishes 2nd Overall in the Valley League Play-offs Medal Count:

70+ programs participate in most competitive youth hockey league in New England, “The Valley League”, and LBYH was able to finish 2nd with 6 total medals .  The 2 gold and 4 silver medals were one behind the first-place winner and our arch rival Waltham (7 total medals).   LBYH edged out Dorchester who also had 6 medals but LBYH had more gold to take the 2nd place position.

LBYH Places ALL Girls Teams in MYCGHL Finals:

The LBYH Girls program finished the Middlesex Yankee Conference Girls Hockey League (MYCGHL) playoffs with all teams playing in their respective championship games. The U10, U12 and U14 teams had fantastic showings in the playoffs. Unfortunately, they all lost by 1 goal in their very exciting championship games. The final MYCGHL playoff results can be seen by clicking here.

While LBYH doesn’t solely measure itself on wins and medals, these achievements solidify our program as one of the best town programs in the state, if not all New England.  This recognition is achieved by the dedication of our players, parents and coaches, all of who passionately commit themselves to LBYH.

The LBYH Board of Directors want to thank you all for your commitment and participation in the program. Being an all volunteer organization, these accomplishments are something that every participant should feel part of and take pride in.  We strive to make LBYH a premier town program and your participation at every level is why we have the number of participants, teams and ultimate success year after year.

Thank you,

LBYH Board of Directors

LBYH Skills Partnership with Ken Hodge Jr.

LBYH is proud to announce a partnership with Ken Hodge Jr. to run the skills program for the 2016-2017 season.  After a stellar college career at Boston College Ken Hodge Jr. played 11 years of professional hockey including 2 with the Boston Bruins where he was a 30 goal scorer. Following his professional hockey career Ken has been a lead instructor and director at Paul Vincent Hockey where he has helped train numerous NHL players and is currently skills coach for the AHL Portland Pirates.

Ken will be working with our Mite through PeeWee/U12 level boys and girls full-time teams.

LBYH is thrilled to be offering our Lexington Bedford players the kind of high level skills training and a commitment to player development that is unparalleled by any other town program.

If you have not already registered your player for the 2016-2017 season, now’s the time!  Click here to begin registration.

New Program Offering
LBYH is excited to announce that the Concord Carlisle Youth Hockey (CCYH) Hot Shot program will be available for LBYH players for 2016-2017 season.  The CCYH Hot Shot program is a great option for players who have aged out of our in-house program and do not want to play travel hockey but want to continue to play hockey. Hot Shots is open to players 8-14 years of age and runs from the end of November to early March.  Teams have one practice and one full ice game per week, all at the Middlesex School rink in Concord, MA at consistent, reasonable times.

A few LBYH players have participated in the Hot Shots program in the last few years with great success and this announcement signifies more formal cooperation between LBYH and CCYH.

Registration details will be forthcoming.
